Bamboo salt is produced using an ancient method for medicinal used and general health in Korea for more than 1000 years.
Method is by packing natural sea salt into bamboo shoots that have matured for at least 3 years. After sealed the salt filled bamboo is roasted repeatedly at temperatures of 1500 degree celcius on average of 6 times, the salt being replace with a new bamboo casing at each roasting.
